1) Needed: Volunteers to Serve on Student Panels for Admitted Students Day!

When: From Monday, March 20, 2017, 11:00 AM to Saturday, April 01, 2017, 11:00 AM
Where: TBD
What: We are looking for students to serve on panels during Admitted Students Day. The panels will take place from 1:50-2:30 PM on Friday, March 24 and Friday, March 31. Each panel will consist of 4-5 students! Anyone who is interested should email Malavika Lobo at mlobo@bu.edu with your name, class year, any student groups you may be a part of, and your availability.

2) Trip to MoFA and Drink-Ticketed Bar Review at Sunset Cantina!

When: From Thursday, March 23, 2017, 6:00 PM to Friday, March 24, 2017, 2:00 AM
Where: Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Ave and Sunset Cantina, 916 Commonwealth Ave
What: BU Law is taking a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts on Thursday, March 23! We will gather in the Atrium at 6PM and head to the museum – our student passes give us free admission, so please bring your BU ID with you! The museum is open until 10PM on Thursdays, so feel free to stay as long as you like! Afterwards, our weekly bar review will take place at Sunset Cantina (916 Comm Ave) starting at 9PM. Drink tickets, chips and salsa, and spinach and artichoke dip will be provided! We hope to see you all at one (or hopefully, both!) of these events!

Where: Symphony Hall
What: Sign-up for free tickets to Haydn's "The Creation" with Prof. Lahav! The performance will take place on April 4th, 2017 at 8:00pm at Symphony Hall. In addition to free tickets to the concert, a pre-concert lecture to explain the piece will take place on Monday, April 3rd at the Law School (more info to come). 5) ABA Class Visits 3/20-3/21

When: From Monday, March 20, 2017, 12:00 PM to Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 10:00 PM
Where: 765 Commonwealth Ave
What: Members of the ABA Law School Accreditation team will be visiting classes on Monday, March 20th and Tuesday, March 21st. Team members will try to create as little disruption as possible. Please realize that an early departure from a class is no reflection on what is happening in the classroom, but merely a function of their compact schedule.

6) DLA Piper Firm Visit

What: Visit DLA Piper's Boston office! Network with partners and associates, hear about their experiences at the firm, and get to know what makes DLA Piper unique. 7) 2017 Transactional Law Conference

Where: Barrister's Hall
What: The conference brings together diverse transactional law practitioners in order to introduce students to emerging issues and career opportunities within this field. It provides numerous networking opportunities and a great learning experience to all those who attend. The two featured panels are Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets & Securities.

9) Critical Conversations: Political Identity

13) Immigration Law and Policy Society E-Board ELECTIONS

When: Monday, March 27, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Where: Room 203
What: The Immigration Law and Policy Society at BU Law is hosting Executive Board Elections for the 2017-2018 academic year on Monday March 27th. We encourage every law student who has attended at least one event to run for a position. We will be electing students for 4 different positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary). Please keep in mind that you may run for multiple positions. This is a great opportunity to add another line to your resume and, more importantly, to take a leadership role in a campus group at a very important time for immigration law. You're welcome and encouraged to come even if you aren't running for a position. For those interested in being on the Board, please email buimmigrationlawpolicysociety.gmail.com with your full name and the position you will be running for by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 22nd. Please be prepared to share a short statement as to why you would like to run for that position. 18) Annual PIP Gala

When: Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Where: Metcalf Ballroom, GSU
What: The 26th Annual PIP Gala will take place on Thursday, March 30th, from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. in the Metcalf Ballroom of the George Sherman Student Union. The Gala will feature an open bar, lots of hors d'ouvres, networking with attorneys, incredible items to bid on (including weekend getaways, experiences with professors, etc.) and also lots of balloon prizes! All money raised benefits PIP's work of providing summer grants to students working in public interest.
